Tropical Flowers - 7th June 2025
Saturday Art Workshop: Join me for a joyful day of acrylic painting at the Trinity Centre, Meole Brace Shrewsbury, SY3 9HF 10-4. You will create an A3 acrylic painting of your favourite tropical flowers on cradled birch panel (provided). In this class will take you through the process step-by-step, with lots of tips and tricks for creating vibrant colours and tactile 3D form and you will create a wonderful piece of art that is ready to go straight on your wall. Just bring along your favourite flowers or plant, along with an A3 sized photocopy of a well lit close-up reference photo to work from. There will be a basic supply of acrylics and brushes available, but you are advised to bring your own also for comfort and personal preference- I recommend using Amsterdam Acrylics and long-handled Akoya brushes (a ½ in filbert and a fine point as a basic). Light refreshments available - please bring your own lunch.
