Seascapes - 16th May 2026
Saturday Art Workshop: Join me for a joyful day of seascape painting at the Trinity Centre Meole Brace Shrewsbury SY3 9HF 10-4. In this art class, you will create an A3 acrylic painting on cradled birch panel (provided) of a coastal scene special to you - it could be a view of cliffs, a harbour, a marina, a boat at sea, a sunset/sunrise - a beautiful Greek island? Whatever you would like to capture with the movement of the water, waves and the effect of light on the ocean. I will take you through the process step-by-step, giving you lots of tips & tricks about painting water and landscapes, and you will create a wonderful piece of art that is ready to display on your wall as soon as you get home. A basic supply of brushes and acrylic paint will be available but you are advised to bring your own. I recommend Amsterdam acrylics and Akoya brushes (½ in filbert and a point for details). Light refreshments will be provided - please bring your own packed lunch.
