Picturesque Powis: Thursday Mornings 10-1

£40.00

Join me in the gorgeous surroundings of Powis Castle and Garden, Welshpool SY21 8RF for one of three delightful Thursday morning outdoor art sessions, 10am–1pm, painting en plein air. In addition to the triumphant red sandstone castle and ornamental gardens with bubbling fountains, we’ll dive into the vibrant tropical planting of the iconic terraces — fringed with gigantic sculptural topiary, dotted with classical statuary and framed by sweeping vistas that stretch far into the rolling Welsh hills.

Your ticket price includes entry to the gardens, use of tables, a gazebo and easels, plus all materials for watercolour and gouache provided for the session. Just bring along a comfortable camping chair and make sure that you are dressed for all weathers (please note — the session will only be cancelled in the event of extreme weather and the park being closed) — sensible footwear, waterproofs, a sun hat and a refillable water bottle. Of course you are welcome to stock up on cakes in the lovely cafe or bring along your own!

There are three dates to choose from: Thursday 30th July, Thursday 20th August and Thursday 10th September.
