I was born in Newcastle on September 1st 1978 and grew up in Durham, NE England (not North Carolina!!!). I took a BA in Fine Art at the University of Newcastle-upon-Tyne. I graduated in 2001, exactly 30 years after my mum and dad. Then I worked as a bar manager for about 6 months before I travelled to Lima, Peru to work as an English teacher for 2 years. That's where I met my fiance Andy - an English teacher working for the same company. We moved to 'lively' Lewisham in London and now I'm studying to become an art teacher at Goldsmiths college at the University of London. We're getting married in Easter 2008!

Artistic Statements!

'Lucy comes form the Latin LUX meaning light. My artwork is about Light, Life and Love. I make work that re-affirms life. For me, the lemon is a symbol of concentrated light and therefore life and love - fruit are the future!'
